Anilox specialist Zecher taps CoPriTech to grow its Scandinavian sales footprint

Anilox roller manufacturer Kurt Zecher continues to expand its international sales presence and has appointed a new partner, CoPriTech, for the Scandinavian markets. Going forward, the company, led by Ronni Nielsen, will be responsible for serving customers and prospects in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. With this new partnership, the anilox roller manufacturer is strengthening its regional presence and laying the groundwork for even closer support of the printing and packaging industries in Northern Europe.

As an international manufacturer of high-quality anilox rolls and sleeves, Zecher has been committed to the printing industry for over 75 years. A key component of its international sales strategy is collaboration with knowledgeable local partners who understand the needs of their respective markets and provide on-site support to customers. With CoPriTech, Zecher has gained a partner that will serve as the regional point of contact for the three Scandinavian countries.

The goal of the collaboration is to further develop existing customer relationships, tap into new market potential, and provide companies in the printing and packaging industries with direct access to Zecher’s product and service portfolio. Anilox rolls and sleeves are the heart of flexographic and many narrow-web printing processes, governing ink transfer and therefore print quality, so responsive local support is highly valued by converters.

Thomas Reinking, sales director at Kurt Zecher, explained that “Scandinavia is an interesting market for us, with high standards for quality, efficiency, and process reliability.” He said that with CoPriTech, Zecher has a partner with whom it intends to expand its presence in the region in a targeted manner, and that the company looks forward to working with Ronni Nielsen to bring new momentum to these markets.

CoPriTech is equally enthusiastic. Ronni Nielsen, CEO and owner of CoPriTech, emphasised that “Zecher stands for quality, technical expertise, and many years of experience in anilox roller technology.” He said the company is very much looking forward to representing those solutions in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, and together with Zecher offering customers real added value, with the goal of building long-term customer relationships and supporting companies in optimising their printing processes.

With this new partnership, Zecher underscores its commitment to offering customers worldwide not only high-quality products, but also professional, application-oriented advice and direct lines of communication. The collaboration with CoPriTech is another step toward continuously strengthening its international partner network and expanding its presence in regional markets.

The appointment reflects a wider trend among specialised print components suppliers to lean on local representation as supply chains shorten and service expectations rise. For Scandinavian converters, having a dedicated, on-the-ground partner for anilox expertise should reduce response times for audits, cleaning advice and replacement planning, all of which affect uptime on the press floor.

Anilox rolls and sleeves sit at the heart of flexographic and many narrow-web printing processes, governing ink transfer and therefore directly determining print quality, so responsive local support is highly valued by converters. With more than 75 years in the industry, Zecher is betting that knowledgeable regional partners who understand local market nuances will strengthen customer relationships more effectively than distant centralised sales teams can.

Modern anilox rolls and sleeves are engineered with extremely precise cell geometries, often ceramic-coated and laser-engraved, that determine how much ink transfers to the plate and therefore the density, smoothness and consistency of the final print. Small variations in anilox condition translate directly into visible quality differences, which is why converters treat anilox care and expertise as mission-critical. In the Nordic region, packaging and label production is characterised by high quality expectations and strong environmental standards, making local, knowledgeable support particularly valuable. Zecher’s partner-led model reflects a wider shift in business-to-business component supply, where vendors compete less on catalogue breadth and more on application engineering and responsiveness. By embedding a dedicated representative in the Scandinavian market, Zecher aims to shorten the distance between its technology and the converters who depend on it, an approach that should also sharpen its understanding of regional needs and feed back into product development.

Zecher’s 75-year heritage in anilox technology gives the partnership with CoPriTech a stable foundation of engineering credibility to build on. The company has pursued international growth deliberately, favouring carefully chosen local partners over rapid, unfocused expansion, and the Scandinavian appointment fits that pattern. Ronni Nielsen’s ownership and leadership of CoPriTech bring both commercial and technical credibility to the role, qualities that matter when converters are trusting a representative with advice that affects print quality and uptime. Looking ahead, Zecher has indicated it will continue to extend its partner network in other regions where local presence is thin, suggesting that the Scandinavian model could be replicated where market conditions justify it. For the Scandinavian printing and packaging industries, the immediate benefit is simpler access to anilox expertise and faster support, strengthening the region’s already high quality standards.
