中文Inkcups has launched the Cobalt Pro+, a new laser plate-maker that the company says is up to 20% faster than earlier models and now carries the highest wattage laser in its Cobalt line. The machine is built for users who need both laser etching and plate-making in one system, serving pad printing operations and promotional-product customization from a single workstation.
The Cobalt Pro+ combines CO2 laser technology with an etching area of 460 by 640 millimeters, large enough to engrave one big plate or several smaller plates at once. That flexibility is central to the product’s appeal: rather than running separate devices for plate production and product etching, a shop can handle both on one platform, simplifying workflow and saving floor space.
Image quality is a headline spec. The device produces high-resolution graphics up to 1,500 dpi on a wide variety of plates, including DuraLaze and exposed polymer. The 30-watt laser can also be used for engraving promotional products directly, extending the machine’s usefulness beyond traditional plate-making into custom item decoration. An AutoFocus feature automatically adjusts to the precise focal point on the engraving area, helping ensure accurate, repeatable results without manual fiddling. Together, those details target the two things that matter most in production plate-making: speed and consistency.
The combination of plate-making and etching in a single system is more than a convenience. For pad printers, plates are a constant consumable need, and any downtime on the plate-maker stalls the whole line. Having a faster, higher-wattage unit that also doubles as an etching tool for promotional items gives shops resilience and extra revenue potential from the same investment.
Inkcups has long been known as a manufacturer of inkjet equipment, pad printing equipment and laser plate-makers, and the Cobalt Pro+ sits at the intersection of those strengths.
