Tarabichi Global Invests in Three Multitec Flexo Presses to Scale Flexible Packaging

Jordan-based converter Tarabichi Global has deepened its longstanding relationship with Multitec by investing in three additional flexo presses, bringing its Multitec fleet to eight units. The converter completed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for its sixth and seventh presses and signed an order for the eighth, a sequence that underlines both expanding capacity and lasting confidence in the platform.

At the heart of the latest delivery is a nine-color, 670mm S3S sleeve-based flexo press configured for flexible packaging production. Built around a highly automated servo architecture, the press features eight servo motors per print station and more than 80 servo drives across the entire machine. Multitec’s new servo auto-pressure control system enables precise pressure settings across different print repeats and material thicknesses while maintaining consistent pressure throughout the speed range.

A reversible first print unit eliminates the need for turnbars when working with thin films, a thoughtful detail that reduces complexity and potential defect points on demanding flexible-packaging substrates. For Tarabichi Global, the press was further configured with two in-line foiling stations and a laminator, expanding the range of value-added applications that can be produced in a single pass.

During the FAT, multiple production jobs were run and validated across different materials, repeats and plate sets. Crucially, multiple job changeovers involving both substrate and plate changes were consistently achieved within 10 minutes, demonstrating the speed and repeatability that short-run flexible packaging demands. In a market where brand owners expect more SKUs and faster turnarounds, that changeover performance is a competitive weapon.

The second press completing FAT in the same delivery is Multitec’s S2 450, the proven workhorse platform for pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and similar applications. Together, the two machines broaden Tarabichi Global’s ability to serve a widening product mix from a single, familiar equipment ecosystem.

Beyond the demonstrated performance, the timing of the order is telling. Tarabichi Global placed its next and largest Multitec order during the FAT visit itself, adding another chapter to a partnership built on proven performance and continued investment. Such on-site commitments are among the strongest endorsements a press builder can receive.

For the regional market, Tarabichi Global’s expansion reflects growing flexible-packaging demand across the Middle East and neighboring trade corridors. Local converters investing in high-automation servo presses reduce reliance on imported converted goods and shorten supply chains for regional brand owners.

The S3S platform’s servo-dense design also aligns with broader industry moves toward data-rich, reproducible production. With more than 80 servo drives, the press generates the kind of consistent, logged performance that supports quality assurance and continuous improvement programs demanded by multinational clients.

Multitec’s ability to pair a flagship nine-color flexible-packaging press with a dependable label workhorse in a single delivery speaks to its broadening portfolio. For Tarabichi Global, standardizing on one supplier simplifies training, spare-parts inventory and service relationships, lowering total cost of ownership.

As Tarabichi Global scales, the successive investments suggest a converter betting on regional growth and on automation as the path to margin. Eight Multitec presses is not a coincidence; it is a statement of confidence in both the technology and the partnership behind it.

The regional implications are significant. As brand owners across the Middle East demand shorter runs and more versions, local converters who can deliver with speed and consistency capture share from imports. Tarabichi Global’s servo-dense, automation-heavy fleet positions it precisely for that shift, turning flexibility from a constraint into a selling point.

Multitec, for its part, continues to build a reputation for servo-driven flexo platforms that punch above their price point. The fact that a single customer has now ordered eight of its presses is among the strongest possible endorsements, and it signals that the S3S platform has earned the trust required for mission-critical flexible-packaging work.

For the wider flexo sector, Tarabichi Global’s investment is a reminder that conventional printing is far from obsolete. When paired with modern servo automation, sleeve technology and in-line value-added stations, flexo remains a formidable, cost-effective choice for the volumes and substrates that define flexible packaging.

Looking forward, Tarabichi Global’s trajectory suggests more investment may follow. A converter that orders its largest press during a FAT visit is signaling confidence not just in current demand but in a multi-year growth plan. Multitec’s ability to earn that confidence across eight installations is a case study in customer retention through consistent delivery.

The broader lesson for the region is that local manufacturing capability is compounding. Each high-automation press added by a regional converter reduces dependence on imported converted goods and strengthens the case for near-shoring. In an uncertain global trade environment, that resilience has strategic as well as commercial value.

Taken together, Tarabichi Global’s eight-press commitment is a clear vote of confidence in both Multitec and the regional flexible-packaging opportunity. In an industry where capital discipline is the norm, ordering the largest press during a FAT visit speaks louder than any press release about the strength of the partnership and the converter’s growth conviction.
