Roland DG Launches EU2-1000MF UV Flatbed Printer Across North America

Roland DG Corporation has announced the North American launch of the EU2-1000MF, a next-generation large-format UV flatbed printer built to simplify rigid-media production through efficient direct-to-board printing. Targeted at businesses producing signage, retail displays, exhibitions, and interior panels, the machine removes the complexity of traditional roll-to-roll printing, laminating, and mounting workflows. By moving directly from file to finished board, it cuts manual handling, minimizes rework, and delivers a more controlled, reliable process.

Workflow simplification sits at the core of the EU2-1000MF. Direct-to-board UV flatbed printing eliminates multiple production stages associated with roll printing, laminating, and mounting, letting print businesses streamline operations while improving consistency and turnaround. By reducing labor-intensive steps and material handling, the printer supports a predictable workflow that helps operators maintain quality and efficiency even in demanding, high-volume environments.

Engineered for daily, production-scale board printing, the EU2-1000MF is designed to deliver stable output and consistent image quality as a dependable flatbed solution for rigid signage, display panels, and decorative applications. It supports media up to 48 in. by 96 in. (1,220 mm by 2,440 mm) and materials up to 3.74 in. (95 mm) thick, accommodating a wide range of rigid substrates. That makes it suitable both for established flatbed users and for screen printers transitioning to digital production.

Productivity gets a real lift. A new high-definition printhead delivers roughly 1.5 times higher throughput than the previous EU-1000MF while maintaining image quality and ease of use. Notably, pricing stays the same as the outgoing model, offering a clear step forward without disrupting budgets. “With the EU2-1000MF, we focused on helping print businesses simplify how rigid media work gets done,” said Ryugo Nimura, Executive Officer of Roland DG’s Global Sales and Marketing Division. “By moving directly from file to finished board, users can reduce manual steps, improve consistency, and increase output, all while maintaining the stable, repeatable quality needed for daily production.”

The EU2-1000MF is positioned as a complete production ecosystem rather than a standalone machine. It pairs the UV flatbed optimized for rigid and thick materials with VersaWorks 7 RIP software for organized, accurate, repeatable output, new E-US inks that deliver controlled running costs and stable performance, and Roland DG service and warranty support built for production environments. Together, these elements give print businesses an end-to-end solution for efficient board production.

Availability is immediate in the United States, Canada, and Latin America through authorized Roland DGA dealers. For sign and display shops weighing whether to add or replace flatbed capacity, the EU2-1000MF’s combination of higher output, unchanged pricing, and simplified workflow makes a compelling case. It reflects a broader trend in wide-format: buyers want fewer steps between a design file and a finished rigid product, with reliability that holds up under daily production pressure.
