Agfa Launches Entry-Level Jeti Tauro H3300 HS Hybrid Wide-Format Printer

Agfa has introduced the Jeti Tauro H3300 HS, a hybrid wide-format printer positioned as the entry point to the Jeti Tauro family. Built on the same platform, ink system and service infrastructure as its faster siblings, the UHS and XUHS, the H3300 HS is designed to give sign and display printers struggling with tighter margins and workforce gaps a clearer route into high-performance digital production.

The strategic intent is accessibility without compromise. By sharing the proven Tauro architecture, the entry-level model delivers the reliability, consistency and long-term value that high-volume shops expect, at a more approachable investment level. For printers weighing their first serious wide-format step, that pedigree matters more than a low sticker price alone.

Configuration options are flexible. The H3300 HS is available in four-color or seven-color versions. The seven-color model features a fully mirrored shuttle configuration derived from the Jeti Tauro UHS and XUHS, bringing high-end Tauro image quality and consistency down to the entry tier. The UV LED device prints CMYK in four-color mode, or CMYKcmk in the seven-color option, with white, primer and varnish available as options. A stable ink supply supports the strong, punchy colors produced with Agfa’s Asanti HDR print modes.

Usability upgrades target the workforce gap directly. A redesigned media-guide system allows for easy loading, while a second monitor lets the press be controlled from either the front or the back, a practical benefit on busy shop floors. Compatible with Agfa’s wider Tauro automation ecosystem, the machine lets print businesses expand automation as production requirements grow. It is also IoT-enabled, helping Agfa’s service organization diagnose issues remotely, faster and more accurately.

Performance numbers are competitive. Print speed reaches 680 square meters per hour in draft mode, or 300 square meters per hour in three-pass mode. The printer handles boards up to 3.3 meters wide and 2.5 meters long, with roll media up to 3.3 meters wide and maximum substrate thickness of 50 millimeters. Agfa has installed more than 500 Tauro print systems worldwide, a base that lends credibility to the new model’s support promise.

The first installation is at Canadian retail display specialist Protagon Display, and Agfa is manufacturing the new Tauro at its facility in Canada, a detail that may shorten delivery times for North American customers. Manufacturing localization also hedges against supply-chain volatility.

For the market, the H3300 HS reflects a maturing wide-format segment where the differentiator is no longer raw speed but total cost of ownership, ease of use and service depth. An entry-level press that inherits flagship DNA lets smaller shops punch above their weight, while giving Agfa a wider funnel into the Tauro ecosystem.

There is an implicit competitive message too. As EFI and Agfa DPS prepare to merge, Agfa is concurrently sharpening its standalone wide-format portfolio, a signal that the Jeti Tauro line remains central to its identity regardless of corporate structure. The H3300 HS broadens the addressable market precisely when scale matters most.

For sign and display printers, the launch offers a pragmatic on-ramp: proven Tauro quality, IoT-enabled service, and a growth path into deeper automation. In a margin-pressured, labor-tight market, that combination is exactly what an entry-level investment needs to deliver.

The launch timing is notable given the pending EFI-Agfa DPS merger. Even as corporate structures shift, Agfa is concurrently sharpening its standalone wide-format portfolio, a signal that the Jeti Tauro line remains central to its identity and to the combined entity’s future. The H3300 HS broadens the addressable market precisely when scale and breadth matter most.

For smaller sign and display shops, the entry-level positioning lowers the barrier to a proven Tauro ecosystem, offering a pragmatic on-ramp with IoT-enabled service and a clear growth path into deeper automation. In a margin-pressured, labor-tight market, that combination is exactly what a first serious wide-format investment needs to deliver lasting value.

Manufacturing the new Tauro in Canada is a strategic nod to North American customers, potentially easing lead times and tariff exposure at a moment when supply chains remain sensitive. For Agfa, localizing production of a high-volume entry model also protects margins and responsiveness in its largest single market outside Europe.

The H3300 HS ultimately represents a confident bet that the wide-format market’s center of gravity is shifting toward accessible, intelligent, service-rich systems. By lowering the entry cost to the Tauro ecosystem without diluting its engineering, Agfa is widening its funnel at exactly the right moment.

With the H3300 HS, Agfa has lowered the threshold for joining the Tauro ecosystem without compromising the engineering that earned it more than 500 installations worldwide. For sign and display printers weighing their next move, that blend of pedigree, accessibility and service depth makes the entry-level choice an easy one to defend.

In a market where the entry-level tier often means compromised quality, the H3300 HS makes a different promise: flagship Tauro engineering at a more accessible investment. For printers taking their first serious step into high-performance wide-format, that promise, backed by Agfa’s global service and more than 500 Tauro installations, is a compelling reason to choose the ecosystem and grow within it over time.
