Agfa Puts the Power of Flexibility on Display at PRINTING United Expo 2026

Agfa is bringing one clear message to PRINTING United Expo 2026: in today’s print market, the businesses that win are the ones that can flex. The company will occupy booths C1149 and C1161 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from 23 to 25 September, and its stand is built around a single theme, production flexibility that lets printers move between rigid and roll media, short and long runs, and signage and packaging work without slowing down.

Four wide-format systems headline the live demonstration. The Onset Panthera, described by Agfa as the only true flatbed high-productivity inkjet printer on the market, will run with a lay table and unloading robot. Capable of speeds up to 16,249 square feet per hour, roughly 292 beds an hour, it pairs enviable throughput with consistently high image quality. Both the Onset Panthera and the Tauro’s MAX automation system were honoured as 2026 Pinnacle Product Award winners, a recognition that underscores how far automated flatbed production has come.

Visitors will also see the Jeti Tauro H3300 XUHS, billed as the fastest hybrid press in its class, running at up to 13,778 square feet per hour. Full robotic automation is on show here too. A MAX BOT robot loads rigid sheets hands-free while the MAX Flex RTR module drives high-speed, unattended roll-to-roll production without operator intervention. The Jeti Bronco H3300 HS hybrid system rounds out the live action, combining up to 4,844 square feet per hour with rigid and roll capability, a seven-colour plus white ink set, and optional varnish or primer for added creative range.

For shops that want choice in footprint, the Anapurna Ciervo H3200 wide-format hybrid printer will be demonstrated with dual-roll printing. It is one of three sizes in the Ciervo family, sitting alongside the 2.5-metre H2500 and the compact 2.05-metre H2050, so printers can scale the platform to their floor space and volume.

Matt Loede, Head of Sales for Agfa North America, framed the strategy plainly. ‘Every print business is different, and the ones thriving right now are those that can flex, moving between rigid and roll, short runs and long, or sign work and packaging, without slowing down,’ he said. ‘These presses are not only here to show off raw speed; they are demonstrating how smarter technology adapts to whatever a customer needs to produce next. The best way to understand that is to come and see it in action.’

Automation extends well beyond the hardware. Asanti 8, the latest version of Agfa’s workflow hub, will be demonstrated as a scalable production command centre. It shows how colour management, intelligent media handling and automation can simplify production, cut waste and accelerate job preparation regardless of shop size. Elsewhere on the stand, an Inspiration Wall and Applications Cube display a broad range of print samples, illustrating the quality and versatility achievable across applications from retail graphics to industrial parts.

Agfa will also discuss the SpeedSet Orca, its high-speed, water-based single-pass digital press for folding carton. Capable of up to 11,000 B1 sheets per hour, it brings genuine industrial productivity to digital carton printing, a segment long dominated by analogue converting. SYNAPS synthetic paper features prominently, with a dedicated area on the Agfa booth and additional representation on the stand of US distributor Nekoosa at C2723.

With sign, display, packaging and industrial print all converging on one show floor, Agfa’s flex-first message is likely to resonate with printers weighing their next capital investment. Registration is free via Agfa’s link using reference code 71727. The takeaway for attendees is simple, technology that adapts to the next job matters more than a single headline speed number, and the company intends to prove that point live in Las Vegas.

The broader context gives Agfa’s flexibility message extra weight. PRINTING United Expo has grown into the largest printing event in North America, drawing sign, display, commercial, packaging, textile and direct-mail printers under one roof. That convergence is precisely why a message about moving between applications resonates, because attendees increasingly run mixed business models rather than single verticals. A shop that once printed only corrugated signs may now field requests for short-run folding cartons, while a commercial printer may be asked to fulfil retail display graphics. Equipment that pivots without costly reconfiguration is therefore a hedge against unpredictable demand, not a luxury.

Agfa’s emphasis on automation also addresses a structural labour shortage. With skilled press operators scarce across many markets, hands-free loading, robotic unloading and unattended roll-to-roll production reduce reliance on manual intervention and help shops hit throughput with leaner crews. The Pinnacle Product Award recognition for the Onset Panthera and the Tauro MAX system confirms these are proven, market-validated platforms rather than prototypes. For visitors weighing capital expenditure, the stand offers a rare chance to compare flatbed, hybrid and single-pass technologies side by side and to discuss real production scenarios with specialists, a consultative depth that is itself part of the value proposition in a market where the wrong press choice can strand a business with idle capacity.
