When a company with more than 40 years in complete beverage lines decides to show up somewhere with its full playbook, it is worth asking why that place, and why now. For Sidel, the answer is Indonesia — and the message it is bringing to Allpack Indonesia 2026 is that Southeast Asia’s packaging ambitions have outgrown piecemeal machinery.
Allpack Indonesia gathers more than 1,500 exhibitors and serves as the region’s meeting point for processing and packaging technology. Sidel will use it to present its engineering, services and complete-line offerings — the kind of end-to-end story that matters more as manufacturers face rising production complexity and shifting consumer expectations. The company says the goal is to help producers improve efficiency, flexibility and sustainability at once, which is the unspoken trilemma every FMCG plant is stuck between.
One vendor, the whole line
Sidel’s pitch is integration. Visitors can trace capabilities from line design and installation through performance optimisation and lifecycle support. The claim is that integrated solutions streamline operations, lift performance and cut downtime — rather than bolting together best-of-breed islands that never quite talk to each other. With experience managing bottles across materials, shapes and resistance levels, Sidel covers PET, can and glass, plus cartons, tubes and pouches, serving beverage, food, home and personal care — all under automation and digital technologies.
Two technologies will draw the crowds. EvoBLOW Laser is Sidel’s next-generation PET bottle-blowing system: instead of traditional ovens, it uses laser heating for precise, selective preform heating. The payoff is lighter bottle designs, better material efficiency and lower energy use. In a region where resin cost and energy access are live business risks, that is not a spec — it is margin. Alongside it, Aseptic Predis X4 targets sensitive beverages with enhanced food safety, simplified operation and better line performance.
Digital as the quiet multiplier
The digital layer is where the long-term value hides. Sidel’s portfolio uses data-driven insights, predictive maintenance and real-time line optimisation to help manufacturers improve performance, reduce downtime and support production decisions. For a Southeast Asian plant operating with leaner technical teams, predictive maintenance is the difference between a planned Sunday fix and an unplanned Tuesday catastrophe.
Loic Leon, vice president sales for Southeast Asia Pacific at Sidel, tied it together: ‘Allpack Indonesia 2026 is an important opportunity for Sidel to connect with manufacturers and demonstrate how smarter production technologies can help them achieve greater efficiency, flexibility and sustainability.’ Combining complete-line expertise with EvoBLOW Laser, Aseptic Predis X4 and digital services, he said, lets Sidel support customers ‘as they respond to changing production needs and prepare for future growth.’
The bigger signal
Step back and the story is about where packaging investment is flowing. Mature Western markets optimise; emerging Asian markets build. A complete-line vendor showing up with laser blowing, aseptic safety and predictive maintenance in one booth is betting that the next decade of volume growth lives in this region — and that the buyers there want turnkey sophistication, not starter kits.
The emotional read for equipment makers elsewhere is clear: the centre of gravity is moving, and the companies that show up with the whole story — not just a faster machine — will own it.
