Jinbao Europe launches screen-printing hub and training academy in Pesaro

Jinbao, a leading Chinese manufacturer of screen printing and finishing technologies, has announced the launch of Jinbao Europe, its new European subsidiary based in Pesaro, Italy. Operational from April 2026, the company was created to serve the European market through a direct local presence, a consultative approach, and dedicated technical and application support – a clear signal that a major Asian equipment maker is betting on screen printing’s renewed strategic relevance in the West.

The establishment of Jinbao Europe rides a wave of renewed interest in screen printing, which is increasingly strategic for the development of high-value applications. The growing demand for finishing, special effects and product differentiation is bringing the technology back to the centre of production processes, after years in which digital was assumed to be the only growth path. Jinbao’s choice of Italy as its European hub reflects the country’s centrality in the printing and packaging sector, and it builds on the experience of Claudio Moffa, founder of Jinbao Europe, who brings over thirty years gained at companies such as Serindustria, Marabu, Sakurai Europe and Keller.

At the heart of the Pesaro facility is the Jinbao Academy, a 400-square-metre demo and training centre designed to give European customers an immersive experience. The academy integrates a Production Center for simulating real-world production conditions, a Prepress Lab, a Training Center for technical and sales training, and an Application Gallery for developing new applications. It is supported by a team of technical and application specialists, a local spare parts warehouse, and a comprehensive machine fleet for testing processes such as spot UV, hot foil, cold foil, and cast and cure – the embellishment techniques that are driving much of screen printing’s revival.

From October 26 to 30, 2026, the Jinbao Academy will host the open house “Unleash your Embellishment,” a five-day event dedicated to commercial printers, paper converting companies, folding carton and corrugated packaging manufacturers, screen printers and subcontractors seeking new business opportunities. Participants will experience firsthand technologies and applications redefining the paradigms of coating, foiling and special effects, watch operational demonstrations of the entire production workflow from idea to finished product, and engage with market experts, customers, partners and suppliers.

For European printers, the arrival of a well-resourced local subsidiary changes the calculus. Instead of buying from a distant supplier with thin local support, they get a demo centre they can visit, training they can attend, spare parts they can receive quickly, and application specialists who understand regional needs. That local footprint is often the difference between a technology being adopted and being admired from afar.

The strategic read is that screen printing’s value is migrating toward differentiation and embellishment – the high-margin work digital struggles to replicate economically. By pairing a physical academy with an open-house event, Jinbao is not just selling machines; it is selling capability and confidence to a market rediscovering what analogue finishing can do. If the Pesaro hub executes, it could become a template for how Asian press makers establish themselves in Europe.

By pairing a physical academy with an open-house event, Jinbao is selling capability and confidence to a market rediscovering what analogue finishing can do, and if the Pesaro hub executes, it could become a template for how Asian press makers establish a genuine local footprint in Europe rather than selling from afar. Screen printing’s revival is being driven less by volume than by differentiation: spot UV, hot foil, cold foil and cast-and-cure are exactly the high-margin embellishment work digital struggles to replicate economically, and converters chasing that premium need to see the technology run before they buy. A 400-square-metre academy with a live production centre and spare-parts warehouse answers the perennial objection that distant suppliers cannot support complex analogue kit, turning a showroom into a reason to commit.

Screen printing’s comeback is really an embellishment comeback, and a well-resourced local academy is the surest way to convert curious printers into committed buyers of analogue finishing.

Jinbao’s Pesaro bet rests on a simple insight: converters adopt embellishment technology when they can see it run and get local help afterwards, and a permanent academy delivers both where a travelling sales team cannot. If the open house converts curiosity into orders, the hub becomes the model for analogue finishing’s European revival.

The open house in late October is the moment of truth for the Pesaro strategy: if curious printers leave having seen spot UV, foiling and cast-and-cure run live and met local specialists they can call later, Jinbao converts attention into orders and sets a European footprint that distant rivals cannot easily match. Screen printing’s embellishment revival needs proof points more than pitches, and a 400-square-metre academy is precisely the proof point the market was missing.
