FESPA Mexico 2026 pairs hands-on Print Make Wear with competitive World Wrap Masters

FESPA Mexico 2026 is shaping up to be more than an exhibition. Running from 10 to 12 September at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City, the event will gather professionals, manufacturers, suppliers and specialists from graphic arts, textile and visual communications — but beyond the show floor, two signature experiences will invite visitors to put knowledge into practice, explore new technology and test their talent.

The theme of this year’s edition is “Strengthening printing, connecting industries,” and few activities embody that better than Print Make Wear and World Wrap Masters Mexico. Together they link printing with textile production, design, fashion, customisation and visual communication.

Print Make Wear evolves in 2026 into an experience centred on the connection between printing and textile production. The programme is built around practical content, letting participants learn about new technologies, materials and processes applied to the industry. Modules span DTF and FTS, sublimation, smart fibres, textile printing, 3D design and technological applications that add value to garments.

The scheduled content is spread across the three days. On Thursday 10 September, sessions cover the fundamentals and applications of FTS (Functional Textile Systems) and the technical, scalable implementation of professional DTF. Friday 11 September turns to 3D printing for the textile and graphic arts industries as a tool for productive innovation, plus industrial sublimation and creativity through technical sublimation. Saturday 12 September closes with a technical comparison of DTF versus FTS for operational decision-making, and industrial screen printing for high-volume production with technical control and profitability.

Specialists from companies including ColorMake, Lenzing, Browzwear, Sumiprint, Epson and Ganon will lead the sessions, with contributors such as Jorge Marín Gómez, Edely Garnica, Miguel Quezada, Pamela Ramírez, Daniel Ospina Álvarez and Luis Daniel Fernández Lukie. Attendees can choose individual modules or purchase combined passes that include access to the hands-on area.

While Print Make Wear is about learning and innovation, World Wrap Masters Mexico takes visual communication into the competitive arena. The 2026 edition will feature 24 participants competing over the three days to showcase their wrapping skills and claim the national title. The winner earns the chance to represent Mexico in the World Wrap Masters global finals, to be held in Munich, Germany, from 6 to 9 April 2027, and will also receive free airfare, lodging and admission to the Global Print Expo.

The competition also marks a milestone: the 15th anniversary of World Wrap Masters, making the 2026 Mexican edition a special occasion for vehicle-wrapping and visual-communication professionals. Supporting brands include General Formulations, Zacua, Velocity and Navi.

For FESPA, the two activities extend the event well beyond the exhibition hall. Print Make Wear offers a space to gain knowledge and explore new textile-production applications; World Wrap Masters showcases the skill and creativity of visual-communication professionals. With the event only days away, these experiences offer a preview of an edition where learning, experimentation and cross-industry connection will be central.

The format also reflects a smart read of how printers actually develop new revenue. Rather than merely browsing stands, attendees can test textile and wrap techniques in a guided environment before committing capital — lowering the risk of adopting DTF, sublimation or vehicle-wrap services. That hands-on, community-driven model is increasingly how regional print associations grow their membership’s capabilities, and FESPA Mexico’s blend of education and competition is a textbook example of turning an expo into a skills accelerator for the Latin American market. For smaller shops weighing a move into apparel or vehicle graphics, the ability to compare DTF against FTS side by side — and to watch elite wrappers compete live — compresses months of independent research into three days on the show floor.

The World Wrap Masters element adds a talent pipeline: by sending its national champion to the Munich global finals, Mexico keeps its best installers visible on an international stage and reinforces a culture of craftsmanship that pure equipment sales can never provide. In a region where print service providers are rapidly diversifying beyond traditional commercial work into decoration and soft signage, an event built around doing rather than just viewing is precisely the kind of catalyst the market needs.
